The Sun

I rise in the morning, gleaming as bright as crystals. Staring down at Papatuanuku, And caressed by Ranginui, I join my brother in the sky as he blows the breeze around earth. We dance happily around Ranginui, keeping him company and decorating him all over. As the day nearly ends, the night rises. So I drift slowly to sleep Ready for the next day to come.

Autumn Tree

                                                            She loses her warm coat

and lets it drift

slowly to the ground.

Standing cold and bare.

No company from birds.

Her crinkly dress

sits beneath her.

Leaving her alone.

She waits for spring.

Blogger of the week

Wow I was awarded blogger of the week,
Blogger of the week is when you get awaraded a log for the blog that stands out the most.
The thing I like about blogging is the challenges that we do and also writing new posts.
I love blogging.

Hunting

1.   riding the horses.

2.   hunting.

3.   no catch.

The darkness had spread and the bitter breeze swept through my hair. As me and my brother sat silently on our horses.  We watched my uncle cutting a track so we could take the horses through it. Suddenly we heard a loud roar. “It’s a stag” my uncle whispered to us.

We jumped off our horses and walked the rest of the track. Creeping and taking careful steps. Watching for twigs so we don’t snap them and give the stag a freight otherwise it will run away.

It started to get really late so we walked back to find our horses. We didn’t catch anything but next time we will catch that stag.

Deep water Challenge

On Friday the 16^thour whole classroom walked to the Olympic pools. Also room 3 came with us. Room 2 was first on the high diving board. Everyone was freezing cold. Our first challenge was to climb down the ladder and enter the water. We had to all touch the bottom of the diving board pool. The diving board pool is 3.60m deep.

The water was freezing cold. But the worst part was that it was a windy day. Our next challenge was to jump off the high diving board. When I heard that my heart was beating so fast I couldn’t even hear it. I was looking down at the water and I thought to myself I can do this. So I jumped off what a piece of cake.

Our next challenge was to swim 33m freestyle and backstroke without standing up. Mission accomplished. Mrs Torrie told us to dive into the pool and find 3 items without coming to the surface. Another mission accomplished. That was the end of the deep water challenge.

I can do backstroke.

Festivals

The AMP show.
The AMP show is a fun festival with rides e.g The rollercoaster, merry go round ect.
Kids love going to this event espically the teenagers. The show is there for 2 days Saturday and sunday or even 3 days sometimes. Those days go through school days that school day is Friday.

Guy Fawkes.
We celerbrate Guy Fawkes by fireworks and we watch this event.
Guy Fawkes is in november.
I have never been down to watch the Guy Fawkes but I can see them from my house.

Book Week.
Our school celebrates book week by dreesing up in a book character and we all walk down to the linrary.
There they read us stories and they also act it out.
Then back at school when we all walk back to school the teachers decide who in there classroom  has the best outfit on.
I only won once and I was dressed up as little red riding hood.
